Since October I've been racing in a few CycloCross events in Derby during the winter. If you've never heard of them, they're basically cross country but on a bike! I did my first one in October, and you can read all about it. We ride on lots of different terrain, like long wet grass and bumpy fields to hard dry earth scattered with leaves. After every race there's an award ceremony, with a proper podium and crowd. So far I've managed a 2nd place medal and a 3rd place medal, but I'm still trying for first place.
